Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Supervisor/Foreman to lead and supervise all electrical works on our mining projects. This leadership role is critical for ensuring that electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on mining plants and site infrastructure are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electrical technicians on-site.
- Plan, schedule, and assign tasks for electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding.
- Ensure all work complies with ZESCO regulations, mining safety standards, and project specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Order materials, manage tools, and control costs within the assigned budget.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to team members.
- Prepare daily progress reports and liaise with project management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid Wireman’s License.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role on a mine or heavy industrial site.
- Proven leadership experience on mine or industrial sites is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of HV/LV systems, MCCs, VSDs, and mining plant electrical systems.
General Requirements:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Must be based in Solwezi or willing to relocate immediately.
