JOB DETAILS:

• Qualifications: B-Tech or Diploma in Mining, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience Required: 4 years of underground mine experience.

Role Overview:
The Electrical & Mechanical Supervisor oversees the maintenance and operation of electrical and mechanical systems in underground mining, ensuring equipment reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, such as ventilation, pumps, and conveyors.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and execute repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards for electrical and mechanical systems in underground environments.
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or improvements.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on safe maintenance practices.
• Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance activities for management.

Competencies:

• Technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems for underground mining.
• Supervisory and leadership skills to manage maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards for underground electrical systems.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Communication and training skills.
