We are seeking a qualified Electrical Technologist with a minimum of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least four (4) years of practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will support the engineering team in executing electrical works across various systems and ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
-Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
-Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical infrastructure.
-Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and circuit diagrams.
-Conduct fault-finding and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
-Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
-Prepare technical reports and maintenance logs.
-Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and external vendors.
-Monitor and manage electrical tools, spares, and consumables.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
-Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
-Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in electrical works.
-Valid Practicing License from EIZ (Engineering Institution of Zambia) or relevant professional body.
-Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, ZABS).
-Experience with LV/MV distribution systems is an added advantage.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
-Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments.
