Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC) is a Zambian incorporated power generation, transmission, distribution and supply company. The privately-owned power utility is a member of the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) and a pioneering international power trader in Southern Africa. CEC is publicly traded on the Lusaka Securities Exchange with more than 5,000 institutional and retail investors. The Company's operations are dotted around the Copperbelt Province of Zambia and the Katanga region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). CEC operates in the DRC market through its subsidiary, CEC-DRC SARL

The role is responsible for short and long range customer demand forecasting and development of befitting short and long range energy sourcing plans in respect of CEC's power purchases to support the customer demand requirements. It plays a key role in forecasting of renewable energy from the CEC generation portfolio. This role works very closely with network expansion planning activities by providing demand trends and long term demand expectations. The role also actively participates in company marketing/customer liaison activities to ensure requirements of both existing and potential customers are addressed. The job holder is responsible for successful implementation of existing power supply agreements and power purchase agreement.
