JOB DETAILS:

To provide advanced technical support and engineering solutions for plant electrical systems, driving equipment reliability, cost optimization, and safety compliance while developing maintenance teams' technical capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Leadership:
• Provide expert technical guidance to foremen and artisans on complex electrical issues
• Conduct root cause analyses for recurring equipment failures
• Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives

Project Management:
• Lead new equipment specification, procurement, and commissioning processes
• Develop maintenance procedures for new installations
• Manage rehabilitation project budgets and resource allocation

Maintenance Optimization:
• Analyze shift reports to evaluate post-maintenance performance
• Plan and coordinate critical spare parts inventory
• Implement energy efficiency measures across plant operations

Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all electrical systems meet statutory safety standards
• Conduct SLAM and MCom safety interventions
• Promote HSE best practices within maintenance teams

Data-Driven Decision Making:
• Perform equipment trend analysis to predict failures
• Develop maintenance cost reduction strategies
• Prepare technical reports for management review

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certification:
✓ Grade 12 Certificate (ZAQA verified)
✓ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ZAQA verified)
✓ Current EIZ membership

Technical Competencies:
• Advanced electrical system troubleshooting
• Equipment performance analysis skills
• Knowledge of industrial electrical standards

Experience:
• 3+ years in plant maintenance environment
• Experience in heavy industrial electrical systems
• Project management exposure

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent technical mentoring skills
• Budget management experience
• Proficiency in maintenance software systems
