ENGINEERING SERVICES LEAD
Location: Lusaka
Reporting To: Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee:
Engineering
Maintenance
Project execution
This role focuses on safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery, with strong attention to asset integrity, contractor governance, and disciplined project execution.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Lead and manage the engineering team.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
- Deliver engineering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Ensure no work is done without approved budgets, defined scopes, valid contracts, and purchase orders.
- Manage contractor engagements and ensure proper approvals.
- Enforce HSE compliance and safe systems of work.
- Manage engineering budgets with cost efficiency and discipline.
- Report on project progress, capital expenditure, and maintenance performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and execution discipline.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related Engineering field.
- Membership of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in project execution, contractor management, and maintenance of industrial or infrastructure assets.
- Experience in oil marketing, energy, construction, or industrial environments is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of contract management, cost control, and engineering governance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and asset/maintenance tools.
- Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Lead and manage the engineering team.
