Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated Environmental and Safety Officer to oversee, implement, and monitor environmental and occupational health & safety policies.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Chinese to support effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations (including ZEMA standards) and international safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Prepare environmental impact reports and safety documentation.
- Train employees on health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in environmental management and occupational health & safety.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is mandatory.
- Relevant qualification in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Knowledge of ZEMA regulations and mining/construction safety standards.
- Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Added Advantage:
- Experience in mining or construction projects
- Certification in safety management
