Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated Environmental and Safety Officer to oversee, implement, and monitor environmental and occupational health & safety policies.

The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Chinese to support effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations (including ZEMA standards) and international safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Prepare environmental impact reports and safety documentation.
  • Train employees on health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in environmental management and occupational health & safety.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is mandatory.
  • Relevant qualification in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Knowledge of ZEMA regulations and mining/construction safety standards.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

Added Advantage:

  • Experience in mining or construction projects
  • Certification in safety management
