JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To efficiently operate a 14-tonne truck/crane for the transportation of materials and other production-related tasks, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient delivery to support operational targets.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate the truck/crane safely and effectively for material transportation and production-related assignments.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
• Adhere to company policies regarding equipment maintenance, including logging working hours and routine service checks.
• Ensure roadworthiness of the vehicle by carrying out daily inspections and reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
• Strictly comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure safe operations.
• Minimize wear and tear on the vehicle by operating efficiently and following best driving practices.
Assist in loading and offloading materials while ensuring proper securing of cargo.
• Report any incidents, delays, or operational challenges to the relevant department.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate (or equivalent).
Valid Driver’s License – Class “CE” or above.
• Minimum of 5 years of truck/crane driving experience, with proven expertise in handling heavy-duty vehicles of 14 tonnes or more.
• Strong knowledge of road safety laws, vehicle operations, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and ensure vehicle upkeep.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High level of responsibility, discipline, and a sober character.
• Ability to work independently while following operational schedules and deadlines.
