EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

3Eighteen Zambia is a faith-based organization with the aim of bringing empowerment and lasting hope to the vulnerable. 3Eighteen Zambia contributes to improved livelihoods through OVC education support, Hub technology, entrepreneurship via non-interest microloans, animal empowerment programs, and discipleship activities. Programs are implemented in 7 districts in Zambia: Kabwe, Chibombo, Kapiri-Mposhi (Central), Kafue and Chongwe (Lusaka), and Ndola and Mpongwe (Copperbelt). 3Eighteen Zambia is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to take up the position of Facilitator — Education & Administration.

Position – Facilitator: Education & Administration

Main Role:

Manage and coordinate OVC education, library/computer skills, life-skills, animal empowerment, and finance & administration activities for ensuring timely, high-quality implementation, monitoring and reporting.

Job Description

  • Coordinate child sponsorship processes: beneficiary selection, interviews, agreements, collection of school reports and tuition receipts, and reporting.
  • Manage library and computer skills services: prepare and maintain facilities, supervise training, procure and maintain equipment, and report training outcomes.
  • Coordinate life-skills programs: careers insight, holiday clubs, entrepreneurship and computer training; ensure high beneficiary participation and reporting.
  • Lead animal empowerment: liaise with agriculture/veterinary departments, assess beneficiaries, deliver trainings, monitor activities regularly and report.
  • Manage school grant activities: collaborate with DEBs and school management, assess beneficiaries, train school management/OVC in grant and entrepreneurship management, and report.
  • Finance & administration: maintain staff and finance files, record and track financial transactions in Excel, maintain vouchers and receipts, prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for national office and project consolidation.
  • Partnership & collaboration: build and maintain relationships with PPC, churches, CBOs/FBOs, government and schools; facilitate PPC and zonal committees, attend meetings and document minutes.
  • Monitoring & reporting: conduct regular monitoring and mentoring visits to schools, homes and communities with photo evidence; document lessons learned and success stories; compile and submit consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual project and financial reports.
  • Operations & planning: maintain OVC database, support zoning and procurement of office equipment, support microloan facilitator documentation, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Note: Role may require work on weekends, public holidays and travel away from home.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and oral communication; report writing.
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, email); strong spreadsheet and financial record-keeping skills.
  • Project, basic business and budget management experience.
  • Organisational, facilitation, people-management and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to compile success/impact stories and consolidate reports.

Personal Qualities

  • Committed Christian with integrity and discipline.

Desired Qualifications

  • Full Grade 12; minimum Diploma or equivalent.

Desirables

  • Business Administration, Social Work, Development Studies, Community Development or related field.
  • Experience with NGOs, faith-based organisations, education programs, micro-finance or accounting.
  • Motorcycle licence advantageous.
