JOB DETAILS:

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: Chief Broking Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and present facultative reinsurance submissions and placement slips to prospective reinsurers.
• Negotiate reinsurance terms and place individual risks with facultative reinsurers.
• Advise clients on suitable facultative reinsurance solutions, available market capacity, and risk structuring.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with reinsurers.
• Assess individual client risks and identify appropriate facultative placement opportunities.
• Ensure accurate preparation, processing, and maintenance of placement documentation and records.
• Coordinate with clients and reinsurers to facilitate successful placement of complex and specialised risks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years' facultative broking or facultative underwriting experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of individual risk assessment and facultative placement.
• Excellent market relationships and negotiation skills.
• Membership of the Insurance Institute of Zambia (IIZA) is required.
• Full Grade 12 certificate.
