JOB DETAILS:
Chisulubu Agri Services is inviting suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for the position of Farm Manager.
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Being fully responsible for commercial viability of the farm.
• Knowledge of full productivity of all listed farm activities.
• Maintaining and monitoring quality of yield for both livestock and crops.
• Supervise the set up houses for the chicks and carry out daily checks on the housing and birds.
• General bird management that includes ventilation, feeding, vaccination etc.
• Supervise litter management and feed ordering
• Supervise and manage members of staff
• Continuously improve bird management and welfare through research of current poultry practices
• Notify of any mortality in the first 24hrs .
• Making sure that all safety and health procedures are followed at all the times
• Helping to keep a health and safe environment by observing housekeeping and doing preventive maintenance carried out once every month.
• Responding to reported all faults immediately, more especially those that are associated with water and feeding of chickens.
• Responsible for safe keeping of all tools and equipment allocated to you.
• Reporting to the immediate supervisor for all farm requirements so that they can be procured for the work to be done.
• Performing general maintenance works

The Required Qualifications are:
• Minimum qualification of Diploma in Agriculture
• A full Grade 12 Certificate
• 2 years’ has on experience as a Farm Manager in Zambia
• A strong interest and understanding of the Poultry System and bird welfare
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work with minimum supervision and have excellent management skills
• Must be computer literate

Proficient and good understanding of all fields such as;
a) Poultry
b) Piggery
c) Animal Husbandry
d) Farming of Various Crops
e) Not less than 35 years of age
