Ntapanza Farms is a well-established beef cattle farm committed to sustainable, high-quality livestock production. We are currently seeking a Farm Manager to take full responsibility for managing daily operations, ensuring animal welfare, and leading a team of farm workers.

  • We are looking for a mature, responsible individual for this role
  • This opportunity is best suited to someone who has lived in a village or worked on a farm, especially with beef cattle experience
  • Applicant must have valid references to verify performance and work history
  • Experience in beef, poultry, and dairy farming is required
  • The farm is located in a remote rural area with limited network coverage and far from the nearest town
  • Candidates must be comfortable living and working in a rural environment with minimal amenities
  • Only serious applicants who can adapt to and thrive under rural hardship conditions should apply
  • Applicant must be 40 years or older and willing to commit to long-term rural living and work

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of beef cattle management and general farm operations
  • Ensure high standards of cattle health, nutrition, and welfare
  • Supervise, train, and support farm staff
  • Monitor pasture quality and grazing patterns to improve productivity
  • Maintain accurate records on animal health, breeding, feeding, and farm outputs
  • Manage poultry and dairy units (if available) alongside cattle operations
  • Develop and implement farm plans to improve efficiency and sustainability
  • Ensure daily task scheduling and resource allocation
  • Communicate regularly with ownership to provide updates and suggest improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years hands-on experience in beef, poultry, and dairy farming
  • Strong knowledge of cattle nutrition, animal health, and pasture management
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience supervising farm workers and managing operations independently
  • Comfortable with rural living and able to handle remote working conditions
  • Must be 40 years or older
  • Must have verifiable references to confirm past performance and experience
  • Familiarity with sustainable or regenerative farming practices is an added advantage
