Agrino Technologies a Zambian based Agriculture company is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Field Officer to support farmers and clients through design, installation, marketing, and technical support of our product range. If you're passionate about modern agriculture and enjoy working directly with farmers in the field, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Drip Irrigation (Primary Focus)
- Design efficient drip irrigation systems tailored to different crops and farm sizes.
- Conduct field visits and surveys to understand client needs and recommend appropriate system layouts.
- Market drip irrigation solutions to farmers, cooperatives, and agro-dealers.
- Train clients/farmers on proper usage and maintenance of drip systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, sales leads, and service follow-ups.
Support for Vegetable Seeds & Peat Moss
- Promote and provide technical guidance on vegetable seed selection, planting techniques, and crop management.
- Educate farmers on the correct use of peat moss for seedling production and nursery establishment.
- Set up and manage demonstration plots to showcase the performance of seeds.
Farmer Support & Marketing
- Provide on-field support for pest, disease, and nutrient management practices aligned with the company’s product line.
- Respond quickly to client inquiries and offer technical assistance in-person/virtually.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agro-dealers, distributors, and local stakeholders.
- Gather customer feedback and report on product performance and field challenges.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certificate/Diploma Agriculture, Irrigation Engineering, Agronomy, or related field.
- Proven experience in irrigation design and installation.
- Strong technical knowledge of vegetable production and nursery management.
- Excellent communication and marketing skills.
- Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently in the field.
- Ability to ride a motorbike with a valid motorbike license is a MUST.
