Description

Our client, a globally recognized leader in electro-electronic equipment, focusing on electric motors, drives, automation, renewable energy, and power transmission, is seeking a proactive Finance Administrator. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the secure maintenance of financial records and to support both the Head Office and the local sales team with various ad hoc financial matters.

Responsibilities

  • Capture of transactions on SAP, will be defined further.
  • Responsible for capture of cashbook entries and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist accountant with journals and reconciliations.
  • Assist with annual/year-end and internal audits and assist with compiling audit packs.
  • Assist financial manager in preparation of final yearly budgets, liaise with sales team.
  • Assist with Ad-hoc finance duties for sales department.
  • Maintain a contiguous hardcopy record of the company’s financial transactions, and scanning electronic copies to the company file server.
  • Prepare and manage Petty Cash float and reconcile. Both Dollar and Zambian Kwacha.
  • Assist in debt collection process, duties will be defined.
  • Submission of documentation to local banks, such as bank letters etc.
  • Submission of documents with GRA.
  • Interaction with GRA when needed, as per instruction from head office.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2 to 3 years’ working experience in a similar finance role
  • Membership with ZICA
  • Computer literacy – good general computer knowledge and experience as well as Windows, MS Word, and Excel
  • Must have proven experience using a recognised ERP system, preferably SAP.
  • Excellent communication and writings skills in English language (professional verbal and written communication skills).
  • Excellent people, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A keen sense of urgency and a willingness to learn additional job-related skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and performance of repetitive functions.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well
