Background

The Rural Electrification Authority (REA) is a statutory body established under REA Act No. 5 of 2023. Its mandate is to increase access to electricity in rural areas of Zambia, thereby enhancing productivity, stimulating economic growth, and improving the quality of life for the rural population. REA is expanding and seeking talented individuals for the following roles:

Responsibilities

• Undertakes effectively the development of financial analysis models in order to facilitate prioritisation of rural electrification projects.
• Undertakes effectively the development and review of tariff proposals in order to determine the price for electricity supply by projects.
• Undertakes effectively the design of benchmarks for award of smart subsidies in order to promote the participation of the private sector in rural electrification programmes.
• Undertakes effectively the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems in order to ensure compliance to set standards.
• Undertakes effectively the preparation and updating of the financial risks in order to ensure effective management of risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate, Validation Certificate from Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)
