BRIDGECROSS INVESTMENTS LIMITED is seeking a Fleet Manager.

Responsibilities or duties

· Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and compliance with road safety standards.

· Manage budgets related to fleet operations, including fuel, maintenance, and repair costs.

· Ensure the fleet operates in compliance with related local and national transport regulations and stay updated on the standards.

· Monitor driver performance, conduct regular evaluations, and address any issues related to safety and performance.

· Monitor vehicle location, performance, and maintenance needs by use of fleet management software and telematics systems.

· Identify and mitigate risks associated with fleet operations, including accidents, breakdowns, and delays.

· Generate regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and efficiency.

· Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications or requirements

· Zambian citizen with minimum age of 40 years

· Diploma in Logistics or a related field and member of the Zambia Institute of Transport and Logistics (ZITL).

· Minimum of 5 years’ proven work experience in heavy duty logistics or fleet management, including team supervision in transport environment. Attach least two traceable employment referees from reputable organisations with reachable contacts. (Reference letters MUST not be more than 12 months from date of issue). Minimum class CE drivers licence will be an added advantage.

Must be computer literate (good in both excel, word, and outlook) with knowledge in vehicle tracking applications preferably Heavy duty vehicles, vehicle technology, safety protocols, personal management and good network in the transport environment.

Good communication, leadership, problem solving, risk management, organization and negotiation.

Mandatory requirements; application letter, updated curriculum vitae (CV) max 2 pages, copy of G12 school certificate, Diploma in Logistics or a related field, valid membership with the Zambia Institute of Transport and Logistics (ZITL), employment referees and copy of National Registration Card.
