Job Role: Fruit and Veg Assistant
Responsibilities
- To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service.
- Set up attractive displays to encourage customer purchases.
- Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labeled.
- Conduct daily counts of stock and report shortages.
- Dispose of spoiled produce responsibly and record wastage.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying quality against supplier invoices.
- Help prepare special displays for seasonal fruits and vegetables.
- Provide information on storage, preparation, and nutritional value of produce.
- Follow workplace safety rules when handling crates, knives, or cleaning equipment.
- Maintain logs of stock rotation, cleaning schedules, and quality checks.
- Support colleagues in other departments when needed.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food handlers’ certification & food production certification.
- 1–2 years of experience in fruit and veg production.
- Basic knowledge in food preparation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
- Candidate should be medically fit.

- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stay calm and focused.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Supervisory skills – ability to train employees to use time efficiently and to be uncompromising regarding service delivery.
Physical Exam Required: Medical Report & Police Clearance
