Staff and operations management

  • Supervise staff: Manage, train, and recruit garden center personnel.
  • Organize operations: Oversee daily operations and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Manage inventory: Keep track of stock, place orders for new products, and ensure a smooth flow of goods.
  • Handle finances: Manage the budget, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues to meet sales targets.
  • Ensure compliance: Make sure health and safety regulations are followed throughout the center.

Plant and facility maintenance

  • Plant care: Manage the watering, pruning, and fertilizing of plants and treat any pests or diseases.
  • Facility upkeep: Oversee the maintenance of buildings, greenhouses, and grounds, including the sprinkler system.
  • Display and layout: Develop and implement strategies for product displays and the center's overall layout.

Customer and sales management

  • Customer service: Ensure high standards of customer service and handle complaints or inquiries.
  • Sales and marketing: Develop and implement sales strategies, plan promotional events, and monitor market trends.
  • Source products: Work with suppliers to source quality products and negotiate terms.
