Location: Ndola, Kafulafuta

Job Purpose

To maintain cleanliness of lanes, structures, gardens, forecourts, and surrounding areas, and to assist with traffic control to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean lanes, booths, forecourts, roadside areas, drains, and structures.
• Maintain gardens through mowing, watering, weeding, planting, and landscaping.
• Collect and dispose of litter and waste; ensure proper waste segregation.
• Use and store tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Report damaged equipment, hazards, and maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Assist with traffic control when required, ensuring correct use of cones and signage.
• Promote health, safety, and cleanliness at all times.

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of cleaning and gardening practices
• Ability to use basic equipment
• Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Self-management, ethical conduct, and quality orientation

Conditions of Service

• As per applicable organisational/public service conditions
• Subject to medical fitness and safety compliance

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 Certificate
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• At least five (2) years’ experience in cleaning, gardening, or site maintenance
