Background: Wonder World Amusement Parks is seeking a self-driven and hardworking individual to join its team as a General Worker.
Wonder world amusement park is a company that provides recreational services in Lusaka. We have been in existence for over 20 years, in which we have grown and have come to be known as an ideal and fun place for families, especially children.
Our services include rides on playground equipment and swimming. We aim at improving our service by continuously maintaining and upgrading our play equipment.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works with minimal supervision, and is passionate about contributing meaningfully to a mission-driven environment.
Job Purpose:To support the smooth running of WWAPs operations of amusement rides, cleaning and maintenance and facility management functions by managing inventory, ensuring proper maintenance of assets, and providing general administrative support to enhance operational efficiency.
Roles and duties
Operating Amusement ride rides.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweeping, mopping, tidying facilities and gardening; performing basic repairs or maintenance tasks.
Manual Labor: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
Support Roles: Assisting skilled workers; organizing materials or stock.
Basic Administrative Tasks: Keeping records, reporting issues, and performing general errands.
Other Potential Duties: Assisting with event setup and providing basic customer service.
Skills
Strength and Endurance: Meeting the physical demands of the job such as lifting, carrying, or standing for extended periods.
Hand-Eye Coordination: Performing tasks requiring precision and dexterity.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using tools, knowledge in operating specialized equipment such as welding machines & grinding and knowledge in mechanics & electronics.
Safety Awareness: Understanding and following safety protocols and regulations.
Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality.
Dependability: Being reliable and fulfilling commitments.
Initiative: Taking proactive steps to improve processes or complete tasks.
Education and Qualifications:
Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
Certificate in Mechanics and/Electronics will be an added advantage.
A Drivers Licence with at least 3 years driving experience is a must
Start Date: As soon as Possible
