Job Overview:
Sarago Mining is looking for a Heavy Equipment Repair (HER) Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation of all machinery, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy mining equipment.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
3. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
4. Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with safety standards.
5. Keep detailed records of maintenance work performed.
6. Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor and operations team for equipment servicing.
7. Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and schedules.
8. Adhere to company and industry safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:
1. Diploma, Advanced Certificate or Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair (HER), Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
3. Must be a registered member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
4. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs for mining equipment.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
6. Experience using diagnostic tools and maintenance software is an advantage.
7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
