We are seeking a HVAC Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on site experience, and the ability to manage installations in line with safety standards, specifications, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design And Engineering: Design HVAC systems, including load calculations, equipment selections, ductwork sizing, and piping/system layouts, in accordance with project specifications, mechanical drawings, and applicable standards.
Project and Site Management: Provide technical input during tendering and project planning stages. Oversee the full lifecycle of HVAC projects, from initial site surveys and cost estimation to final installation and commissioning. Liaise with all parties and ensure compliance with HSE Requirements.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on HVAC equipment and systems. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance works and prepare service reports and maintenance schedules, whilst providing technical support to service and maintenance teams
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, commissioning documents, and as-built drawings. Maintain accurate records of works carried out. Support handover documentation and client training where required
Qualifications and Experience:
- - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering
- - Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC installation, commissioning, or maintenance
- - Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including chillers, VRF/VRV, split systems, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, and ventilation systems
- - Experience working on commercial and industrial projects is an advantage
- - Valid Zambian Drivers Licence - and ability to Drive.
- - Willingness to work on site and travel when required
- - Strong understanding of HSE documentation and standards
