Educore Services is recruiting a Head Teacher for Trident Preparatory Solwezi, part of the Trident group of schools offering British international curriculum education to both Zambian and expatriate students. Established in 2013, the co-educational day school serves over 130 pupils from Early Years to Year 6 and is located within the scenic Kansanshi Golf Estate in Solwezi. The school provides a safe, close-knit learning environment with access to excellent sporting facilities and encourages independence through walking and cycling to school.
Educore Services is seeking an outstanding Head Teacher to lead Trident Preparatory Solwezi from January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary and dynamic leader to build on recent successes and drive the school forward, enhancing its academic achievements, community engagement, and long-term sustainability. The new Head Teacher will not only oversee academic excellence but also nurture the school’s role as a cultural and social anchor for families in the wider community. We are looking for a leader who will actively engage with parents, local organisations, and key stakeholders to ensure TPS remains a centre of excellence in education, extracurricular activities, and holistic child development.
Responsibilities or duties
- Provide strategic leadership to sustain and enhance academic standards, student development, and operational efficiency.
- Inspire and lead a team of dedicated educators, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
- Strengthen community ties by engaging with parents, local businesses, and stakeholders to expand the school’s impact.
- Oversee the financial management and sustainability of the school, ensuring responsible and strategic resource allocation.
- Champion the integration of technology in education and uphold the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Qualifications or requirements
- A Bachelors degree or postgraduate degree in education or a related field.
- A proven track record of senior leadership experience, preferably in an African international school setting.
- Strong strategic and financial acumen to drive sustainable school growth.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage a multicultural community.
- A deep understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and experience in using technology to enhance learning.
- A passion for education and a commitment to upholding Trident Schools’ values of responsibility, respect, integrity, innovation, and industry.
Experience needed
A proven track record of senior leadership experience, preferably in an African international school setting.
