Background

LEVEL FIELD CONSULTING is currently recruiting for multiple full-time positions based in Lusaka, Zambia.

Responsibilities

This role involves managing telecommunications or technology projects involving diverse stakeholders, developing fibre route plans, splice plans, network designs, and Bills of Materials (BOMs), and managing large-scale network infrastructure projects and significant capital expenditure budgets.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is an added advantage. Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience, preferably within telecom operators, ISPs, technology companies, or large enterprises. Proven track record managing telecommunications or technology projects involving diverse stakeholders. Extensive experience in FTTX/FTTH network design, including GPON/XGS-PON, ODN, and passive outside-plant infrastructure. Skilled in developing fibre route plans, splice plans, network designs, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Strong technical knowledge of GPON, XGS-PON, IP/MPLS, DWDM, SD-WAN, core networking, OSP, and ISP infrastructure. Experience managing large-scale network infrastructure projects and significant capital expenditure budgets. Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, decision-making, and stakeholder management capabilities. Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, or equivalent collaboration platforms. Fluency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of French or local market languages is advantageous. Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, ITIL, or telecom-specific credentials are highly desirable.
