JOB DETAILS:
Job Opportunity – Heavy Equipment Repair Technician
Location: Kalumbila
Reports to: Mechanical Coordinator
Hitachi Construction Machinery Zambia is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Repair Technician on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform machinery maintenance and preventive services.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain tools and ensure quality control.
• Report incidents and support a safety-driven culture.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair (Diploma preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in mining equipment maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license & EIZ membership.

Competencies:
• Expertise in earthmoving equipment repairs, hydraulics & electrical fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
