HOUSE PARENT
Kids Alive International (www.kidsalive.org) empowers abused, neglected, and vulnerable children in some of the hardest places. Creating thriving families and communities by giving hope to children through restorative education, family strengthening, protective care, and justice advocacy.

We are seeking for stay – in House Parents, self-motivated, result oriented, passionate, and empathetic individual to join the enthusiastic Kids Alive Zambia Team in Lusaka on Contract.
QUALIFICATION:
The ideal candidates should have the following qualifications/qualities:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- A Psychosocial or social work or pastoral care certificate will be an added advantage
- A married couple aged 55 years and above
- The couple must have no children or dependents staying with them
- The couple must be willing to relocate into the facility
- Must have experience working in a care facility
- Able to take care of a house and prepare healthy and nutritious meals for children
- Able to read and write in English. Fluent in Nyanja or Bemba.
- A born-again Christian with a personal faith in Jesus Christ, sober and a heart for serving orphans and vulnerable children.
- Self - Motivated, flexibility and capacity to work under pressure and long hours.
- Knowledge and understanding of childcare principles
- Good communication and listening skills with ability to converse with children, fellow professional staff and parents or guardians
- Must be mature from a stable family or home.
- A caring and compassionate attitude with excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages
- Able to read and write in English. Fluent in Nyanja or Bemba.
