Housekeeping Supervisors oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the hotel.
Team Supervision:
Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping staff (room attendants, cleaners, laundry attendants).
Room Inspections:
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Task Assignment:
Assign daily tasks to room attendants and monitor their performance.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Lost and Found:
Manage the lost and found process, ensuring items are logged and stored securely.
Maintenance Coordination:
Report maintenance issues to the engineering department and follow up on repairs.
Guest Relations:
Address guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services.
Training:
Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and service standards.
Reporting:
Prepare shift reports on room statuses, staffing, and incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Relevant academic or professional qualifications for specialised positions.
- Previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is an added advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Applicants must be hardworking, honest, reliable, and self-motivated.
