The company is looking for qualified candidateS in the following positions:

Job Purpose

The Human Resource Officer is responsible for supporting the organisation in managing its employees and ensuring effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and practices. The role involves recruitment, employee relations, performance management, staff records, training, payroll support, and compliance with applicable labour laws and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Selection: Coordinate recruitment and selection processes from job advertisement to appointment. Prepare job descriptions, vacancy announcements, interview schedules, and employment documentation. Screen applications and assist with shortlisting suitable candidates. Conduct or coordinate interviews and reference checks. Facilitate employee onboarding and induction.
  • Employee Records and Administration: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases. Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR correspondence. Monitor employee attendance, leave, and other staff movements. Ensure HR files and records are properly maintained and regularly updated.
  • Employee Relations: Assist in addressing employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns. Promote positive employee relations and a healthy working environment. Provide guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures. Support conflict resolution and disciplinary processes where required.
  • Performance Management: Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes. Assist managers and employees in setting performance objectives. Monitor completion of performance reviews and maintain relevant records. Identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Training and Development: Identify employee training and development needs. Assist in organising training programmes, workshops, and staff development activities. Maintain training records and evaluate training outcomes. Support career development and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Provide accurate employee information to support payroll processing. Monitor attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, and other payroll-related information. Assist with administration of employee benefits and statutory requirements. Ensure payroll-related employee records are accurate and up to date.
  • HR Policies and Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with company policies and applicable labour laws. Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and procedures. Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and HR best practices. Promote compliance with workplace health, safety, equality, and employment standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular HR reports and statistics for management. Monitor employee turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, leave, and other HR indicators. Provide HR information and recommendations to management when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management & Public Administration.
  • Professional HR certification or membership with ZIHRM
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in human resources.
  • Good knowledge of HR practices, employment procedures, and labour regulations.
  • Experience using HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
