Background

JM Turnkey is hiring for- Grand Savoy hotel.

The Human Resource Officer will support the management of people-related functions within Savoy Hotel, ensuring effective HR operations, compliance with labor regulations, and strong employee relations. The role includes recruitment support, staff documentation, HR reporting, performance management coordination, and coordination of HR policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes (job adverts, shortlisting, interviews coordination, and onboarding).
  • Maintain and update staff records (physical and/or digital), ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Support performance management processes and staff appraisals coordination.
  • Coordinate employee attendance records, leave processing, and HR documentation.
  • Handle basic employee relations matters and assist with conflict resolution.
  • Ensure HR compliance with Zambian labor laws and internal policies.
  • Prepare and submit HR reports as required by management.
  • Support training and development initiatives (tracking training plans, attendance, and reports).
  • Assist with Payroll management.
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance processes in line with hotel policy.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR administration (hospitality experience is an added advantage).
  • Knowledge of HR procedures, recruitment processes, and labor compliance.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to maintain records.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
