JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all Human Resource department staff and tasks.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and industry standards
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure HR strategies contribute to overall business success.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates.
  • Develop retention strategies to minimize turnover and promote employee engagement.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain a fair and respectful workplace environment.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and ensure timely resolution
  • Design and administer performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance
  • Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and setting goals.
  • Identify training and development needs to enhance employee performance and career growth.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness within the industry
  • Stay updated on legislative changes related to employee benefits and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in accordance with labor laws and industry regulations.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for the Zambia Ministry of Labour and all recognised unions.
