JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure that the Information Communication Technology services of the university are well managed and maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Administer, maintain and manage the university’s computer systems
• Ensure all ICT hardware and software are properly installed, configured and maintained
• Assist staff and students with ICT issues
• Ensure the security of the university’s computer systems and data
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Perform regular backups of university systems and data
• Create and manage user accounts, including troubleshooting issues and password recovery
• Develop and implement ICT training programs for staff and students
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and provide recommendations for improvements
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES
• Proficiency in hardware and software maintenance
• Ability to solve technical problems in a timely manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills


QUALIFICATIONS
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA, etc.)
• Computer literate
• Age: Above 25 years
• 2 years work experience


Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
