JOB PURPOSE
To own and drive successful execution and delivery of all Airtel Money Project implementations through financial and resource management to ensure project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
- Managing and driving execution and delivery of all Airtel Money projects
- Influencing leadership within the business areas to create and maintain alignment around the project business objectives, measurable benefits, success criteria, scope, and constraints impacting project delivery
- Managing Project Communication to all stake holders and Executive Leadership.
- Providing functional expertise during project planning, development, and production-support
- Driving project execution and delivery according to business needs and requirements
- Managing Internal and External stakeholders by preparing and executing project plan requirements to ensure achievement of desired outcomes.
- Define and document project work breakdowns, monitor task, status, update work estimates and incorporate new tasks into plan as needed.
- Coordinate monthly project governance to ensure that project stakeholders cross functionally are aligned and updated on project status.
- Monitoring and Evaluation of Airtel Money Projects post implementation and advise of any Revenue Leakages Post implementation
- Project achievement periodic KPIs – project plan, dates, impact on business for proper measurement during and after project implementation
- Timely and excellent execution of projects through systematic follow through and governance process
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent, required
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred.
- Should be having good knowledge in OS Linux, Database & web applications, Mobile app Android / IOS , Kubernetes setup etc.
- Should have knowledge of IN, SMSC & USSD functionality.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 5 -8 years of experience in for telecommunications industry or banking services with exposure working with various regulators in the country.
- Deep knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods.
- Solid understanding of the technical aspects of online applications, web development, Mobile Money development frameworks and tool sets.
- Industry experience or knowledge in the Zambian Mobile Consumer Products Industry with an understanding of Mobile Commerce and digital payment system success factors is highly desirable
