• Are you a passionate IT professional ready to drive positive change through renewable energy solutions? Little Sun Zambia Limited is on a mission to achieve universal access to clean energy. With a strong foundation in the PAYG business for solar home systems, we are expanding our transformative initiatives and venturing into productive use of renewable energy with the establishment of Community Energy Hubs for productive use. We are seeking for an experienced and motivated IT Manager to play a key role in our mission.

The role
• As the IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the entire spectrum of IT hardware, software, and network operations across our overhead operations, Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) services, and Community Energy Hub operations. Your role will involve hands-on management of the integrated system, including a DPU and cloud-based automatic milk collection system, a smart and digital milk collection app, electronic weighing scales and automation systems, mobile payment solutions, and computer systems. You will be tasked with ensuring the efficient functioning, monitoring, and control of data flows in and out of the cloud, while providing direct support to operational teams. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors will be essential to guarantee the seamless operation and integration of the software and hardware components.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure across all business operations.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT needs and ensure effective integration of systems to enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Manage the operational integration and optimization of the complex software and hardware system within the Community Energy Hubs, ensuring seamless data flows and system functionality.
• Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the DPU, cloud-based automatic milk collection system, digital milk collection app, electronic weighing scales, automation systems, mobile payment solutions, and computer systems.
• Monitor and control data flows in and out of the cloud, implementing robust data management protocols and security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Provide hands-on technical support to operational teams, addressing software and hardware-related issues, and ensuring timely and effective resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to assess operational needs, identify system requirements, and implement necessary upgrades or enhancements to optimize system performance.
• Conduct regular system audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing proactive measures to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements, providing insights and recommendations for the continuous improvement of the software and hardware system.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in IT management, preferably in a diverse business environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, and data management.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with renewable energy and PAYG operations is a plus.
