About The Role
To deliver practical and theoretical training in mobile industrial high-voltage systems, instrumentation, controls, automation, diagnostics and safe HV operations to trainees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans covering internal combustion diesel engine technology, advanced hydraulic systems, drivetrain systems, telematics and diagnostics, as well as preventive and predictive maintenance principles
- Deliver classroom and workshop-based training on high-voltage (HV) safety, isolation, switching, and commissioning procedures
- Provide training on instrumentation, sensors, CANBUS, control systems, and diagnostic methodologies
- Supervise practical HV exercises and fault-finding activities.
- Conduct assessments and maintain compliance documentation.
- Support development of laboratories and simulators.
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
- Guide trainees in electrical and electronic diagnostics
- Demonstrate use of diagnostic software and measurement equipment
- Supervise troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
- Tech diagnostics and telematics principles and applications in OEM settings
- Maintain training records and support curriculum reviews and improvement
- Coordinate closely with workplace mentors to support on-the-job learning.
- Review and validate apprentice logbooks and workplace evidence.
- Participate in apprentice progress and review meetings.
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate assessment and training records.
- Participate in moderation processes, audits, and accreditation reviews.
- Coach and develop apprentices and trainees.
- Supervise workshop-based practical training.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Assess competence against defined standards.
About The Work Environment
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 hours to 16:00 hours, excluding public holidays
Training workshops & Laboratories
Occasional outdoor or Industrial partner facilities
Exposure to heavy equipment and outdoor field work.
Standing and supervising trainees for extended periods
Educational Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Diploma – Teaching Methodology
