ABOUT THE ROLE

A reputable Insurance Broking company, in operation for over 30 years, is seeking a driven Sales Executive to join our Kitwe office. The role focuses on new business generation, client acquisition, and growing revenue across corporate, SME and retail segments. Applicants must be currently based in Kitwe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities to meet individual and branch sales targets.
  • Develop and manage relationships with corporate, SME and retail clients; identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
  • Conduct prospecting, needs assessments, proposal development, negotiation and deal closure.
  • Support retention efforts by ensuring high service standards and timely follow-up with clients.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, operations and marketing to secure competitive terms and execute campaigns.
  • Maintain and update CRM with pipeline, forecasts and activity; report performance against targets.
  • Participate in local market research, competitor monitoring and referral-channel development.
  • Represent the company at events and build strategic local partnerships and referral networks.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Must be currently based in Kitwe (mandatory).
  • 2–4 years’ experience in sales or business development within insurance broking, insurance carriers, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with insurance products, broking processes and cross-selling.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Diploma or degree in Insurance & Pensions Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred. Professional insurance qualifications are an advantage.
  • Membership or affiliation with relevant industry associations is a plus.
