JOB DETAILS:
Our client in the Agro-division, is looking for an experienced Irrigation Sales Engineer / Salesman.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Able to understand, design and develop irrigation systems that will produce the best results for the area.
• Should be able to bring in sales following management’s set targets.
• Experience in managing a department.
• Responsible for planning and management of Departmental stock, planning and sales forecasts.
• Managing irrigation projects during installation and supervising all irrigation staff.
• Auditing irrigation system installations.
• Advising management on all activities related to irrigation and agriculture in the country.
• Identifying potential clients and establishing relationships.
• Planning for the department and following up on sales leads.
• Managing daily activities of the department.
• Have to keep the records of the designs of all farmers in the concerned area perfectly and with transparency.

Skills and Specifications
• Should have the basic knowledge of water requirements for agricultural crops and needs
• should be able to speak, understand and write English
• Should have good interpersonal skills and able to analyze the problems.
• Should be open to work in rural areas as it is the work related to the rural development.
Education and Qualifications
• The candidate should have a degree in Agriculture Engineering/Civil engineering with minimum of 5yrs work experience, minimum of 8yrs appropriate work experience in the irrigation industry.
• Knowledge of appropriate irrigation design software.
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia
