Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Analyst to join our dynamic Revenue team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue reporting, monitoring financial activities, and driving process improvements across multiple markets. The successful candidate will leverage analytical tools to provide strategic insights, enhance compliance, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and analyse revenue performance reports across multiple markets (e.g., Zambia, South Africa, Malawi, and Zimbabwe) to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic insights.
  • Monitor betting activity, transactions, and revenue in real-time to detect anomalies
  • Develop interactive and review Power BI and Excel dashboards to track revenue key performance indicators (KPIs) streams, analyse sales trends, and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Lead the automation of revenue tracking systems (Back office), reducing manual errors and improving reporting efficiency.
  • Monitor exception reports to identify unusual financial activities, investigate anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Track deposit and withdrawal transactions to prevent money laundering and unauthorized activities in Mobile Money wallets.
  • Provide audit support to auditors by ensuring data accuracy and transparency during financial reviews.
  • Provide data-driven insights by developing detailed Excel reports and financial models.
  • Analyse competitor trends and betting industry benchmarks to enhance business strategy and market positioning.
  • Drive internal process enhancements to ensure continuous improvement in revenue tracking and financial reporting systems.
  • Work closely with finance, procurement, legal, and operations teams to streamline revenue-related processes and resolve payment discrepancies.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with a credit or better in 5 English and Mathematics.
  • 0–2 years’ experience in finance, administration, reconciliation, audit support, or related field (internships/attachments considered).
  • Short courses in Data Analytics, Excel, Power BI, or Financial Modelling are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Power BI or reporting tools.
  • Strong numerical ability, accuracy in data entry, and comfort working with digital systems.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
