Chilanga Cement, Chilanga Plant, is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individual to take up the role of:
Position: Key Account Manager
Location/Department: Head Office, Commercial
Overall Mission of the Role:
To develop and retain long lasting relationships with the company’s clientele through strategic partnering, advisory services, and discovering new opportunities to work together with clients for mutual benefit.

Main Responsibilities:
• Developing and maintaining strategic long-term trusting relationships with Key Customers to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives
• Developing a complete understanding of key account needs
• Anticipating key account changes and improvements
• Managing communications between key clients and internal teams
• Negotiating contracts with the client and establishing a timeline of performance
• Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
• Ensuring the ordered products are delivered in time and in full
• Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
• Resolving any issues and problems faced by customers and dealing with complaints to maintain trust
• Playing an integral part in generating new sales for new key projects that will turn into long-lasting relationships
• Preparing regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
• Keeping and maintaining customer accounts clean and closing off all reconciliations within the agreed period
• Ensuring all key accounts have valid and up-to date contracts, price and contact information
• Keeping abreast with industry and market trends and best practices

Qualifications, Experience and skills required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Sales/Marketing, or any Business related field
• At least 2 year’s relevant work experience in Sales and Marketing
• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
• Holder of a valid driving licence
• Ability to speak Chinese is an added advantage

Technical Skills required:
• Must have strong communication skills (both written and oral)
• Must possess and in-depth knowledge of the company and customer base
• Must have a strong strategic perspective
• Must possess leadership skills
• Should be a skilled negotiator
• Must be able to demonstrate value-based selling
• Must have impeccable time management skills
• Must possess the ability to multi-task
