Role Description

This is a contract role for a Land Survey Assistant based in Lusaka. The Land Survey Assistant will be responsible for supporting land survey operations, including field data collection, operating GNSS and drone equipment, and assisting with GIS mapping and data analysis. The role also includes preparing and maintaining field notes, sketches, and maps for project documentation. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in land surveying, operating GNSS technology, and drone mapping
  • Skills in GIS mapping, data analysis, and spatial data management
  • Ability to prepare and maintain field notes, sketches, and project maps
  • Proficiency in geospatial software and digital mapping tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • An understanding of geotechnical engineering concepts is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in surveying, geomatics, or a related field.
