Jerome Fleischer Home is a compassionate and nurturing environment dedicated to providing love, care, and support to children in need. We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Lead Mother to join our team and help us create a safe and loving space for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care, supervision, and emotional support to the children.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe living environment.
  • Plan and prepare meals according to the nutritional needs of the children.
  • Oversee the general well-being of children, including health, education, and recreation.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for children by fostering discipline, good manners, and life

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with children, particularly in a residential care, caregiving, educational, or social work setting.
  • Sound knowledge of child development, positive behaviour management, and trauma-informed care.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child safeguarding and protection principles, including the prevention, identification, and reporting of child abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other safeguarding concerns.
  • Commitment to upholding child safeguarding standards and adhering to the organization's Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and respond to emergencies calmly and professionally.
  • A nurturing, compassionate, and emotionally mature personality with a genuine commitment to the well-being and best interests of children.
  • Certification in First Aid is an added advantage.
  • Must be willing to undergo reference checks, background screening, and a police clearance as part of the safeguarding recruitment process.
