• Zambian Breweries Distribution Company (ZBDC), is seeking a skilled and detail oriented MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Analyst to join our planning team. The MRP Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective planning and scheduling of materials required for production. This role involves analyzing demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with various departments to support the production process.

Key Responsibilities
• Material Planning: Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) processes to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
• Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales forecasts and historical data to predict future material needs and adjust plans accordingly.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
• Order Management: Generate and manage purchase orders for materials, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Scheduling: Collaborate with production planning and operations teams to align material availability with production schedules.
• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on material availability, inventory levels, and supplier performance, and present findings to management
• Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues, manage lead times, and improve material quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to MRP processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Compliance: Ensure all MRP activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Profile:
• Education: bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain analysis.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MRP software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
• Certifications: CILT, APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
