Role Summary

The Mason supports biodigester construction through skilled masonry work and day-to-day coordination of the General Worker, under the direction of the Lead Mason. The Mason ensures tasks are completed to standard, tools/materials are used correctly, and the site remains safe and organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute masonry works for biodigester construction (brick/block work, plastering, screeding, finishing).
• Assist with setting-out, mixing ratios, curing processes, and ensuring water-tight finishes where required.
• Guide and direct the General Worker on support tasks (mixing, carrying, cleaning, fetching materials).
• Maintain quality workmanship and promptly report defects/technical issues to the Lead Mason.
• Follow HSE rules and ensure safe handling of materials and tools.
• Support accurate use of materials to reduce wastage and maintain site cleanliness.
• Participate in team travel and multi-site work schedules as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Qualifications & Experience)

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Mason on construction sites.
• Ability to produce consistent quality finishes and work under supervision.
• Prior experience on biodigester/septic/tank works is an advantage (but not mandatory).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong practical masonry skills, attention to detail, and physical fitness for site work.
• Teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn company standards.
• Good communication and ability to coordinate a helper (General Worker).
• Willingness to travel and work in field conditions.
