We are looking to hire a mechanical fitter to be based at our factory in Lusaka.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
• Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines
• Troubleshooting mechanical faults or problems
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance of machines, equipment and systems
• Replacing damaged parts and components
• Conducting routine checks and preventive maintenance on machinery
• Complying with all safety norms and regulations of the workplace
• Maintaining a detailed record of the work performed
• Utilizing specialized tools and equipment to repair or replace faulty machinery parts
• Providing recommendations for improving the performance and efficiency of machines

Skills & Qualifications

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
• Valid membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in mechanical maintenance.
