Role Overview:
These technical roles involve the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of equipment and systems used in underground mining, ensuring operational continuity and safety.
Key Responsibilities (General Across Roles):
- Perform repairs and maintenance on underground mining equipment, such as drills, LHDs, and trucks.
- Fabricate, fit, or weld components as needed to support equipment functionality.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and air conditioning systems in mining vehicles (for Auto Electricians and AC Mechanics).
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols during all repair and maintenance activities.
- Document maintenance activities and report on equipment status.
Competencies:
- Technical skills in mechanical, electrical, or fabrication work specific to underground mining.
- Troubleshooting and repair expertise for mining equipment.
- Safety awareness in underground environments.
- Physical fitness to work in confined spaces with heavy equipment.
- Attention to detail in maintenance and documentation.
