Position Summary

The Media Intern will support the production, editing, and dissemination of digital content for YMCA Online TV and Podcast. The intern will gain hands-on experience in media production while contributing to youth-focused storytelling, advocacy, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and producing content for YMCA Online TV and Podcast
  • Support video recording, photography, sound recording, and live broadcasts
  • Assist with editing videos, audio podcasts, and social media clips
  • Support content uploads and management on YouTube, social media, and digital platforms
  • Participate in script writing, storyboarding, and content research
  • Support promotion of programs, events, and campaigns
  • Maintain basic studio equipment and ensure proper use
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Station Manager

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Youth aged 21–30 years
  • Degree/Diploma or pursuing studies in Media, Journalism, ICT, Film, Communications, or related field is an added advantage
  • Basic knowledge of video/audio production and editing tools (e.g. Premiere Pro, Audacity, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
  • Interest in digital media, storytelling, and youth development
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn, flexibility, and creativity
  • YMCA membership is an added advantage
