JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mine Captain to oversee mining operations, ensure safety compliance, and maximize production efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising teams, coordinating daily activities, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage underground or surface mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and mining laws.
• Supervise and mentor shift bosses, miners, and support staff.
• Monitor production targets and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers, geologists, and senior management to optimize operations.
• Maintain accurate reports on production, safety incidents, and equipment usage.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• Grade 12 certificate
• Valid Mine Captain Certificate .
• Minimum 2 and above years of experience in mining operations, with leadership experience.
• Strong ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams effectively.
• Deep knowledge of mining health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid first aid certificate
• Valid basting licence
• Valid silicosis
