JOB DETAILS:
Purpose:
To ensure provision of effective and efficient survey services to mining operations and perform quality assurance and quality control.

Duties:
• Cary out regular pit surveys to provide accurate data for volume computations.
• Assist in computation of mining volumes.
• Setting out of mine designs and layouts to guide operations.
• Checking as built works to ensure compliance to designs.
• Analysis of survey data to provide information to mining teams.
• Maintain integrity of survey computer directories and records.
• Maintain survey equipment to the required standard.
• Ensure integrity of survey control stations for reliable measurements.
• Interact with mining personnel to ensure comprehensive mining pickups.
• Participate in training of mining operations personnel in the use of rotary laser equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Full Grade 12 certificate.
• A Degree or Diploma in Surveying/ Geomatic Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ survey experience preferably in the mining sector.
• Working knowledge of Surpac software
