JOB DETAILS:
OVERSEAS MINERALS AND METALS MINING LIMITED is a newly registered company.
The company is planning to invest in Mining sector in various minerals in Zambia. The company therefore invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill various positions and join our technical team of experts as it embarks on exploration activities across the country.
Exploration Geologists: Must be in possession of a bachelor of science degree in earth- sciences or geology obtained from a recognized institution.
Duties will involve conducting exploration activities or geological surveys, collecting and analyzing data using various pieces of scientific equipment and using that information to make recommendations regarding resource extraction, like mining, drilling. Be able to generate reports for relevant government agencies, departments, ministries etc.
Drilling Technicians: Must be in possession of a Diploma in mining engineering, geology or mechanical engineering obtained from a recognized institution.
Duties will include operating the drilling machines for rocks and soils, rotary equipment and pumps; inspecting rig: maintain records of drilling operations; and able to perform all duties performed by any crew member; and be responsible for the safety, training and supervision of the other crew members.
