JOB DETAILS:
Kasempa Radio is a community radio station based in Kasempa district north western province Zambia that predominantly broadcast in Kaonde and English languages, 60 % and 40% respectively.
The Station is seeking to recruit a NEWS EDITOR and is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the vacant position of NEWS EDITOR.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade twelve (12) School Certificate or 5 GCE O levels
- Diploma in Journalism
- Experience in radio broadcasting setting.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Head the Newsroom and oversee Content.
- Supervise Reporters
- Conduct newsroom diaries and assign Reporters to gather news stories
- Select ,edit and sanction news stories for broadcast
- Uphold and safe guard editorial guidelines and journalism ethics.
- Able to anchor a live interview or radio shows
- Able to communicate in the local Kaonde language is an added advantage but not a Must

Experience in Months: 24
Level of Education: associate degree
