The Business Development Officer be responsible of identifying, connecting, and engaging with potential clients through LinkedIn. The primary goal will be to generate high-quality leads, initiate conversations, and build relationships that drive business growth.. Develop and implement customer plans and servicing customers. Implements marketing plans, pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute online business growth strategies, identify new digital markets, and align with business objectives.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and information for S&OP (sales and demand planning)
- Actively prospect for new online leads through targeted research and outreach, and respond to inbound leads.
- Build and maintain strong online relationships with clients to drive repeat business and long-term value.
- Develop and manage customer relationships through sales calls, value-added activities and business review
- Implement web strategies and tools to enhance online visibility, SEO, and customer engagement.
- Implement customer plans, unique strategy executions (including sales, brand & channel activations) to deliver market-leading value propositions
- Identify and evaluate competitor strong stores and new business opportunities in line with company strategy, to gain share and grow sales
- Identify and connect with potential leads and decision-makers using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools.
- Send personalized connection requests, messages, and follow-ups to generate interest in our services.
- Conduct research to find the right prospects based on our ideal customer profile.
- Engage with prospects by commenting on their posts, sharing insights, and participating in relevant LinkedIn discussions.
- Track all outreach activities, responses, and lead status in a CRM system.
- Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods
- Ensure good corporate governance and adherence to SOP & business rules
- Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential clients
- Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them virtually
- Measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts and suggest improvements to increase engagement and conversion rates
- Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business
- Collaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sales & Marketing Knowledge:
- Good Online Selling Skills
- Excellent Negotiating Skills
- Knowledge of the retail coatings industry
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Excellent printing & stationary knowledge and application skills
- Good Communication skills
Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications
- Certificate in Digital Marketing Certifications is an added advantage
- Must have at least 2+ years of experience in LinkedIn lead generation, sales outreach, or business development.
- Must have Interest and experience in LinkedIn Sales Navigator and LinkedIn automation tools.
- Proven understanding of lead nurturing.
- Ability to work independently and meet lead generation targets consistently.
- Must have good experience in Online Sales presentation with the ability to craft compelling messages.
- Must be outgoing and people person
- Must be a member of ZIM
